Subversion vs. CVS

I am investigating providing subversion on freepository

A few members have asked about this so I’m going to look into it. The last time I looked at subversion, I was disappointed at how buggy it was. I was recently told by someone close to it (subversion development) that it isn’t ready for enterprise deployment, and that you should use CVS instead.

So if that’s any indicator, I expect to not be hosting subversion anytime soon. But to fair, I will review it.

EDIT – Freepository began offering on-demand subversion repository hosting (our Silver account), in January 2007.   See http://commavee.com/2007/02/17/subversion-at-freepository/
