Freepository is seeking a highly skilled UI designer / engineer to join our team. Read the details below the fold.Freepository provides Software as a Service (SaaS) tools such as source control, bug tracking, wiki, build automation and repository analysis tools used by engineers around the world. We are adding new offerings that will provide compelling end-to-end solutions in the software developer tools space.

Join us as we take Freepository into the Enterprise. We need you to create, develop and maintain the next generation of Freepository’s user interface.

We have six years of experience, demographics, brand awareness and goodwill to leverage. We need your design and technical skills to craft a stunning, beautiful, and intuitive user interface for our application.

In order to succeed, you will possess a gift for creative user interfaces and the technical skills to execute your vision. You live and breathe “great user experience”, and can deliver it effortlessly. While these traits are intrinsic, extrinsic indicators include:

• Minimum 5 years in design and development role(s) at international companies serving global customers.
• Ability to demonstrate design skills with a broad portfolio of work.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent user interface development concepts (i.e. analyze what makes a good UI and synthesize good UI from requirements).
• Technical Experience with JSP, JS, XML/XSLT, JSF, Struts, and Java in general.
• Technical Experience with *nix (especially Linux) operating systems.

You must be willing and able to participate in a pre-funded environment. This position is offered under an Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) that is equity-based.

Telecommuting is ok, but regular technical conferences will occur.
