With the exception of some front-page banners and badges for One.org and DATA, and a posting about my genuine admiration for Bono back during Live 8, this blog has been incredibly apolitical.
Until today.
Today I attended a Gubernatorial Technology Forum (in Denver, Colorado) where the two leading candidates for Governor - Bill Ritter & Bob Beauprez - participated in a lively discussion (but not quite a debate), moderated by Colorado VCs Jack Tankersley and Brad Feld.
I met Brad earlier in the year, and my association with him is developing into a very cordial friendship. As a result of knowing Brad, I knew of his father, Stanley Feld, and thus recognized Stanley seated at the next table during the luncheon.
After the program, I introduced myself to Stanley and we were still talking about the broken U.S. healthcare system 45 minutes later. Stanley is a smart, passionate M.D. (past President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) and is out to fix the system.

Sign me up, Stanley. Because as we discussed, I’m one of the guys in the middle and I do care.
