Converting a CVS repository to SVN

In the nearly twenty years that CVS has been in use, there have been literally hundreds of thousands, (perhaps even millions) of CVS repositories created around the globe. Some of those have already converted to Subversion (SVN), while others are candidates for conversion. This posting explores how best to approach such a conversion.

Snowing again in Denver

It is snowing again in Denver and 8f (-13c). This is playing out like a real winter, something we don’t see in a typical year. Not that we don’t ever see these types of winters. I would describe this the same way that significant floods are described – this is a 15 or 20 year winter; we can expect to see a winter like this every 15 – 20 years, which in my experience is how long ago I actually saw a winter like this in Denver.
